TEHRAN (FNA)- Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri praised the great role of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in defending Iran in all fronts, calling on the force to keep high readiness to confront “great events”.
He made the remarks in a letter to IRGC Commander Major General Salami, on the occasion of the anniversary of IRGC establishment.
“I would like to congratulate all the commanders and staff of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and its affiliated bodies on this splendid occasion,” The top commander said.
“I hope that with God's help, and under the sagacious guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, you will continue to promote your capacities and keep your readiness to face great events.” General Baqeri continued
Praising the IRGC’s undeniable role in preserving Iran's high status and might in the world, Baqeri added, “The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, with its great achievements and roles in different domains, has been meeting all the needs of the country and the nation; thus the name of this holy institution shines on the peaks of might, progress and dignity of this land.”
He pointed to the epics made by the IRGC during the past 41 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, stressing that the Armed Forces especially the IRGC have played a great role to safeguard the country against the enemies’ evil plots.
In relevant remarks last week, Major General Baqeri in a meeting with Army Commander Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi praised the Army forces for their relentless efforts in campaign against the coronavirus epidemic.
The Iranian Army forces showed excellent performance in the fight against coronavirus, General Baqeri said in the meeting in Tehran on Thursday on the occasion of the Army Day in Iran (April 17).
He congratulated the Army Day, saying, “Iran’s Army is performing its missions more authoritatively and efficiently under the guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”
