Intifada turns Israel's Nile-to-Euphrates dream into nightmare

Tehran, May 19, IRNA – Iranian Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami said Wednesday that heroic Palestinian people, through crossing Intifada with stone and reaching Intifada with missile, turned Zionist regime of Israel's Nile-to-Euphrates dream into a nightmare.

General Hatami made the remarks in a meeting with Syria's deputy minister of internal trade and deputy minister of industry.

In the meeting, Hatami condemned the crime committed by the occupying Zionist regime to kill defenseless children and women in Gaza.

Hatami described such a crime as unforgivable.

On May 10, the Zionist regime of Israel started its wild and aggressive attacks on Gaza Strip and the Palestinians. Up to now, 218 Palestinians have been killed by the attacks and 1,235 others have been wounded.

In response to those attacks, the Resistance movement in Palestine has bombarded the occupied lands.

As Hatami noted, the brave Palestinians have been inspired by resistance of the Syrian people who fought Zionists-backed terrorist Takfiri groups.

Iranian defense minister stressed that Syrian people's resistance prevented the illegitimate regime from achieving its sinister goals.

Then, Hatami highlighted the strategic role Syria plays in Resistance movement.

He went on to say that Islamic Republic of Iran through its all-out efforts will help Syrian nation and government reconstruct their country and protect their territorial integrity.

Syrian officials, too, appreciated Islamic Republic for its leading role in Syria's victory and in anti-terrorism resistance.
