Abadan, May 25, IRNA – Iran’s Navy Marine Rangers Commander Rear Admiral Morteza Darkhoran said on Tuesday that the country is among the top five nations in building submarines thanks to the knowledge and expertise of domestic forces.
Darkhoran told reporters in sidelines of commemoration ceremony of Liberation of Khorramshahr that Iran’s Navy is among top powers in the world in manufacturing cruisers, destroyers, battlecruisers and hovercraft.
He pointed to the order by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to take over the Persian Gulf by submarines, saying that the order has been executed and all the countries were aware of Iran’s presence level in the waterway.
The commander also said that the Military’s Strategic Force helps many countries to ensure the security of their vessels.
Rangers of Iran’s Navy are in the best condition regarding equipment, preparedness, and human forces, Darkhoran asserted, adding that they were ready to defend Iranian interests anywhere in international waters.
He commemorated the dedication the rangers practiced in defending Khorramsharh during the Eight-Year Imposed War between Iran and Iraq.
