TEHRAN (FNA)- Representative of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Hamas Movement in Tehran Khaled Al-Qadoumi underlined that Ayyash Missile technology, an initiative by anti-terror commander Martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani that was indigenized by Hamas, finally targeted and defeated the Tel Aviv regime's so-called iron dome.
Al-Qadoumi appreciated Iran's supports for Palestine, and said that Hamas defeated enemies and "prevented the Zionists from entering al-Aqsa Mosque".
He pointed out that General Soleimani's initiative brought the Israeli regime to its knees.
Al-Qadoumi referred to the Israeli regime's attempts to assassinate the leader of Hamas, noting that the enemy tried to penetrate Hamas tunnels but failed.
The Palestinians and Israeli regime declared a truce on Friday after 12 days of war.
The Israeli military launched a bloody military onslaught against the Gaza Strip on May 10, razing many homes and civilian buildings to the ground in the already-besieged Palestinian territory.
Meanwhile, Palestinian sources reported that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip has risen to at least 253 Palestinians, including tens of children and women.
The report by the Palestinian Health Ministry noted that Israel’s military aggression, which lasted for 11 days, has also wounded 1,948 civilians, dozens of them seriously.
Meantime, retaliatory rocket attacks by Hamas and Islamic Jihad against Israeli targets came in response to Israel’s relentless airstrikes on the densely-populated enclave.
On May 16, Israeli sources said that Gaza-based Palestinian resistance groups had fired around 4,000 rockets toward the occupied territories over the previous several days, surpassing the pace seen during an escalation in 2019 and the 2006 war with Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance group.
Israel had to accept self-declared ceasefire on Friday.
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in separate messages to Palestinian resistance leaders Ziad al-Nakhalah and Ismail Haniyeh felicitated their recent victory against the Zionist regime, stressing that the Palestinian nation will see final victory.
In his messages on Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei called the struggle against the occupiers of Palestine resistance against oppression and arrogance.
In his message to Hamas Leader Ismail Haniyeh, the Leader said the struggle against the occupiers means resistance against oppression, infidelity and arrogance.
"You will be victorious and purify the holy land from the filth of usurpers," he added.
Also in his letter to Leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement Ziad al-Nakhalah, Ayatollah Khameni said that the Palestinians will see the final victory.
"Our hearts are with you on the scene of your struggles and we constantly pray for the continuation of your victories," he said.
The two Palestinian leaders had last week in seperate letters to Ayatollah Khamenei elaborated on the latest developments after the 12-day war against Israel, and appreciated Iran for its assistance to the Palestinian nation.
