Tehran, June 2, IRNA – Attempt to extinguish fire on an Iranian vessel "Khark" remained futile on Wednesday as the vessel sank in waters of Jask, southern Iran.
Although naval aid units made effort for 26 hours to save the vessel, it sank due to huge fire in different parts of it.
Training and logistical vessel of Khark gave service to training naval operations for over four decades.
It caught fire near Bandar-e Jask on Tuesday.
Reportedly, the incident has had no casualties.
