Tehran, June 16, IRNA - Iranian Minister of Sport and Youth, Masoud Soltanifar in a message congratulated all Iranians on the victory of the National Soccer Team against Iraq.
Asia's second round in Qatar 2022 qualifying came to a close on Tuesday (last night), and Iran marched into the final phase of World Cup qualifying.
On Tuesday, Iran's national team, Team Melli, won the game against Iraq 1-0 to top Group C.

The victory of the Iranian national football team over Iraq is the final phase of the first part of a difficult mission and the beginning of a new path in the growing process of the Iranian National Football team.
The results and the disqualification of Iran from hosting some matches, created a breathtaking condition for Team Melli; nevertheless, planning, good support, zeal, and authority of the nationalists, the efforts of technical agents and the prayers of the Iranian people, brought great victories for Iran against Iraq.
