Baghdad, IRNA - Co-Presidents of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Bafel Jalal Talabani and Lahur Shex Jangi in a message congratulated President-elect Ebrahim Raisi's victory in the 13th presidential election of Iran.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan eagerly awaits all-out cooperation aiming to reinforce brotherly relations between Iraqi Kurdish people and Iranians, the message reads.
The region is dire need of your wisdom in line with establishing language of negotiations and reinforcing peace and security, it added.
Patriotic Union of Kurdistan wishes progress for people of Iran, it noted.
Earlier, President of Iraqi Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani telephoned Iran’s President-elect Ebrahim Raisi to congratulate him on his victory.
Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi was announced on Saturday as the winner of the June 18 presidential election in Iran, scoring 17,926,345 of votes.
