Tehran, IRNA - Hungarian Ambassador in Tehran Zoltan Varga-Haszonits said that sport games have always been an opportunity for interaction and cooperation between countries, expressing confidence that good things will happen between Iran and Hungary.
Varga-Haszonits made the remarks in an interview with IRNA on Monday, saying that in his two-year presence in Iran so far, he has seen that Iranians are interested in sports.
Before the COVID-19 Pandemic, the number of tourists who moved between the two countries showed a good relationship between Iran and Hungary, and no doubt, after the crisis, great cooperation and interaction would be seen between the two countries in tourism again, he added.
Hungarian Ambassador to Tehran said that another event has recently taken place in the sports of Iran and Hungary, which has brought the two countries closer to each other; Teqball was founded in Hungary and we are proud that this field of sports was invented in our country and today it has many fans all over the world.
The Hungarian Ambassador said that currently, the Iranian Shooting National Team is in Hungary to prepare itself for the Olympics, and the national table tennis team is scheduled to leave for Hungary soon, and these are the fields of interaction and cooperation between the two countries and should be considered.
