100% of Iranians have access to internet: ICT Minister

Azari Jahromi wrote in his Twitter account that  " 98.5 percent of villagers and 100 percent of Iranians resinding in cities have access to the Internet".

According to statistics, Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran (MCI), Irancel and Righ Tel as the first, second and third beiggest mobile phone network operators in the country have 37, 35 and 3 million users respectively.

According to the Communication Regulatory Authority of Iran, 52,000 villages with over 3 million users have access to all forms of communications now. 

Accordingly, 44,000 villages and 82,000 km of roads are now covered by Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran (MCI),  and 18,000 villages and 64,000 km of roads in Iran are covered by Irancell.

Jahromi said on Feb 2, 2021, that Iran is working to be among the top 5 countries in the world's space field in the next few years.

He said it is not a far-reaching goal at all.
