Guardian Council submits president-elect's credentials to Leader’s office

The Guardian Council signed the president-elect's credentials and submitted it to the office of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The second article of Iran’s Presidential Election Law states that the credentials for presidency should be signed by the Guardian Council and be presented to the Supreme Leader.

Also, the 83rd article of the same law necessitates a copy of the credentials to be sent to the Ministry of Interior.

The ceremony for the authorization of credentials for presidency of former Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi is to be held on Tuesday.

Also, the inauguration ceremony will be held on Thursday in Majlis (the Iranian Parliament).
