Iran invites all sides to preserve stability, Saeed Khatibzadeh told reporters at his weekly press briefing in Tehran.

As the spokesman stressed, Iran observes developments in Afghanistan and has communications with different groups.

History of Afghanistan shows that there is no military solution for solving issues in the country, the spokesman said,adding that Iran is ready to cooperate and facilitate talks in this regard.

Taliban has recently come to Afghan capital of Kabul and taken over the presidential palace.

Iran has stood by Afghan people over the past 40 years, Khatibzadeh told reporters stressing that Tehran has always believed that lives of Afghans and their rights and properties should be preserved.

Further, he expressed hope that coordination council formed in Afghanistan would bring about peace to the country.

The new conditions in Afghanistan, which have led to further migration, have doubled needs to humanitarian aid to relieve pain of Afghan people, he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the spokesman announced that the Pakistani foreign minister is planned to visit Iran this coming Thursday.

The visit, which is to take place at the request from Pakistani side, will focus on bilateral issues and Afghanistan's developments, Khatibzadeh underlined.

About the news released by Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, about dispatch of fuel to Lebanon, Khatibzadeh said that having legitimate normal trade is a decision taken by the government and it is normal.

Iran under its own decisions and due to request from its friends sells its oil, he stressed.

He went on to say that Islamic Republic cannot see that the Lebanese are in pain because of behind-the-curtain plans.

Turning to the issue of Vienna talks, the spokesman said Iran's stance has not changed; meanwhile, developments in the government may bring some changes.

New Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi took office on August 5.

Commenting on videos on cyber space showing that Taliban forces are present in border crossing with Iran to take Afghan nationals and state staff, the spokesman said Iran has been the host of Afghan refugees during the past four decades.

Now, Iran expects all Afghan sides to preserve lives and properties of Afghan people and respect rights of women, he added.

Arrival of United States in Afghanistan and its shameful exit gave the historical lesson to all that US has ruined anywhere it entered to bring peace and stability, Khatibzadeh stressed.

Further, he advised Washington to respect international laws and nations' rights.

Touching upon a statement issued by three European countries to express concerns over Iran's nuclear program, Khatibzadeh said that what Iran did was under its commitments to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and Safeguards Agreement.

All Iran has done has been under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and all its activities have followed peaceful purposes, he noted, while naming such a statement as political and illegal.

The three countries should respond to the question that why they did not issue any statement when US withdrew unilaterally from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), put maximum pressures on Iran, and mount economic war against Iranian people to target their health, he underlined.

At his remarks, the spokesman slammed hostile remarks made by current and former US official about Iran.
