In a letter to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet, Gharibabadi called on all countries and the international bodies to do their share in the fight against those disrupting the peace, stability and security of the people.
Noting that Iran has been pursuing a principled policy in the fight against different forms of trafficking, the official said that some 40 Iranian police officers have lost their lives in clashes with armed traffickers and outlaws between March 21 and December 3, 2021.
Although the international community and most world countries confirm the measures taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the country not only receives no support from the other countries, but the few aids of the international organizations are often faced with selective and politically motivated acts of certain countries, the official said.
Referring to numerous statements issued by the High Commissioner for Human Rights in support for the criminals who have been convicted in a fair way, Gharibabadi asked why no statement is issued in condemnation of armed terrorist attacks against the Iranian police officers who render the biggest services to the international community with their fight against drug trafficking, human trafficking, and the crimes of organized groups.
