Israeli forces on Friday attacked Palestinian worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is the thirst holiest site in the Islamic world. They injured hundreds of Palestinians and arrested many more.
Hakim, who is the leader of Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement, expressed deep concern over Israel’s suppression of Palestinians and its desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sumaria News reported.
He added that his stance on supporting the Palestinian nation and their cause remains unchanged and asked the international community to “take a clear approach” toward saving the innocent Palestinian people from “these cruel measures.”
Hakim also called for an emergency UN Security Council meeting to assess the consequences of the crisis and help prevent it from growing.
The Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people at Al-Aqsa has drawn widespread international condemnation, with countries like Iran demanding Israel be held accountable.
